Marguerita C. Johnson Senior Center

Overview

The Beginning - The doors of the Marin City Senior Center opened on August 28, 1988. The Marin City Senior Center rose from the ashes of the old Boys and Girls Club site. On February 1, 1990, the senior center was named after Marguerita C. Johnson, former chairperson of the Senior Center Advisory committee & the Commission on Aging member. The seniors of Marin City are the back bone of our Community. Their care and support are the responsibility of the Marin City Senior Center. Supporting our elderly during their times of need will continue to be the mission of the Senior Center by offering meals, recreation, trips, exercise, group meetings and many other programs.
