Visitors to the Senior Center will find a bustling, thriving and fully handicapped-accessible community facility based in the heart of New York City’s “Crossroads of the World.” More than 200+ seniors come to the Center each day to participate in the varied programs and services that are offered. The Center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Seniors 60 years of age or older can receive any of the services offered through the Center. The Senior Center is “the” place to visit for seniors who like to choose from a variety of interesting activities. It offers a host of weekly programs and activities to enhance and enrich a senior’s life. Seniors can choose from Yoga, T’ai Chi Chih, computer classes, painting classes, movies, trips, birthday celebrations, bingo, concerts, holiday parties and more! Lectures and discussion groups on various subjects such as crime prevention, nutrition, legal rights, fire safety and estate planning are also offered.
