The only senior center in East Midtown, the Senior Center at Saint Peter’s Church is open five days a week, serves farm-to-table lunch daily and offers a full schedule of social, legal, health and arts programming. The Senior Center also offers unparalleled arts and culture offerings including: access to jazz, art and theater programming taking place in Saint Peter’s Church; SU-CASA, a community arts engagement program that places artists-in residence at senior centers to provide arts programming; discounted theater tickets; and free cultural field trips. Other programming and resources available to members include opportunities for members to exercise their bodies, minds and spirits through workshops and presentations that include yoga, tai chi and meditation; French and Spanish classes; technology classes; ballroom, hula and belly dancing; acting, singing and painting and current events lectures. Membership is free of charge to adults aged 60 and over; suggested donation for meals.
