The crafts class has a white female instructor and Mexican pupils. They don't mind or notice the patriarchal setup of the class. One exception is that when the tactless instructor announced to the class that she was a "black sheep, a student said somthing, subtly calling attention to her insensitivity. I'm the sole "black" in the class. There is one male in the class. He immediately sat near me and declared, "Asians are taking over the U.C." Why did he have to sit near to me? And say inflammatory lies? He didn't do any work in the class. He was there to get rid of me. So much for Integration.
