About Northwest Senior Activity Center
The Bergen County Division of Senior Services was established in 1966 under Federal Legislation of the Older Americans Act. The Division of Senior Services is the primary planning, coordinating and funding agency for senior programs and services, promoting the well-being, health and independence of Bergen County’s more than 190,000 older adults. The Division targets especially those vulnerable and in greatest social and economic need. As the lead agency for the Bergen County’s Aging and Disability Resource Connection (ADRC), the Division helps older adults, individuals with disabilities over the age of 18, and their caregivers, access the complex, long-term care, community-based, health and human services.

Write a reviewI would like to humbly suggest, that the NW Bergen Sr. Center, in Midland Park, be renamed after my mother, Wilma G Casella, who died in July, 2019, at 92yo. She began this center (indeed, did battle with the Office on Aging in Hackensack to get it funded, opened, etc). It was the one thing in her life that she was most proud of...and it is still there. So much more I could tell you as I was a volunteer (most voluntarily) there for several years, when it opened and was a learning experience for me as well as for many of the seniors. I am presenting, with all humility, the idea that the name be changed, officially.
