Our Center has a positive, inviting atmosphere with fellowship, nutritious meals, monthly field trips, health and wellness activities and lots of information. We’re sure that you’ll find that our services help to keep everyone engaged and involved in a fun way. Chickamauga Senior Center is located in the heart of the historical City of Chickamauga. The Chickamauga Senior Center is a historical landmark built by area Veterans in the late 1940s as American Legion Post 217. This historic building adds a wonderful nostalgia and is a great conversation piece for our community. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. excluding holidays. In the mornings on most week days, you will find a variety of activities taking place such as singing, bingo, arts & crafts and birthday parties. We also have great community partners in the area who provide informational presentations that help keep our community updated and informed about topics that are of interest to seniors. Volunteers are always welcome, and we are especially grateful to those who help deliver Meals on Wheels.
