​​​​​The Human Services Department (HSD) Senior Programs operates 15 senior centers throughout the City of Phoenix for adults ages 18 and older. Each center is dedicated to providing participants with a variety of leisure and recreational activities in a safe and supportive environment.​

At community centers throughout Glendale, seniors benefit from nutritious meals, social activities, and companionship. Our senior centers provide life-enriching outreach to our growing population of low-income elderly.

The Chinese Senior Center has been a resource for older adults in the Melrose District for over 40 years. The center is conveniently located three blocks south of Camelback near the light rail station and on the city bus route.

The JFCS Center for Senior Enrichment, the only Jewish senior center in the Greater Phoenix area, offers classes and activities that appeal to a variety of interests.

For seniors living alone and/or have limited incomes, their ability to access services, participate in social and cultural activities, and provide themselves with nutritional meals is compromised.
