Overview

WCCSS was established in 2001 with our mission being to serve hot, delicious meals five days a week to citizens who reside in Western Clinton County. WCCSS is the home of the Meals on Wheels program with volunteers visiting and delivering a hot, nutritious meals to homebound clients in Albers, Aviston, Damiansville, New Baden, New Memphis and Trenton. We offer programs that are of interest to our people, education concerning nutrition, wellness and many services including Benefits Access, flu shots, blood pressure checks and help with Medicare A,B,C and D. They enjoy Bingo, quilting, card games, exercise and special parties on all holidays.

If you want delicious hot food that is cooked at the site, Trenton Center is the place to go. Where can you get meat, salad, veg, potatoe, dessert, tea, coffee, milk all for $5 5 days a week? If you are working, you will be the first to be served. We eat at noon, however, many days of the month, there are games, bingo, live entertainment, all free. If the Green Bean Panty has left overs, the center receives them and you receive them FREE. In the summer, farmers bring in tomatoes, potatoes, corn and etc. and again you get them FREE. What can you loose by trying the center. NOTHING, do your self a favor, come and join us. 5 days a week, before 9 a.m. call and make your reservation. Sometimes I call before I go to bed and then I can sleep in.

Food is always tasty, hot, and delivered by very friendly folks. When something is especially good I try to call and give my appreciation to the cooks. My favorites are the chile and the potato salad. Much appreciation to the folks at WCCSS !
