About Thomaston-Upson Senior Center
The Thomaston - Upson Senior Center is located in the former R.E. Lee Military building and Dining Hall. This building is also known as, Memorial Hall. It was dedicated in the memory of the teacher and four students that perished in the Winecoff Hotel fire in 1946. The plaques honoring the following are displayed in the building: Christy Hinson, Earlyne Adams, Mrs. Mary Minor, Patsy Uphold, Virginia Torbert. Currently the building is used by the senior citizens of Upson County.
