Overview
The UCC Senior Center serves many functions in the community. The center encourages nutrition by offering a balanced meal at 12 p.m., seven days a week. The center also offers interactive programs for Latino seniors that provide education and recreation while fostering socialization and peer interaction. These programs promote the participants' maximum level of independence by encouraging them to enjoy new experiences at their own pace. Additionally, transportation between the seniors' homes and the Senior Center is provided. The transportation services are available Monday through Friday. The services offered by the UCC Senior Center are available to all Milwaukee County residents, 60 years of age and older. There is no charge involved in participating in this program, but the UCC accepts a $3 donation for lunch.
