Sunrise Senior Center

Overview

The Sunrise Senior Center, opened in 1995, is dedicated to encouraging personal growth, fostering active participation in the community, and helping residents age 55 and up achieve and maintain an independent, healthy lifestyle. The Center is a recipient of the Florence R. Goldmann Distinguished Senior Center Award, presented by the Florida Association of Senior Centers. The Sunrise Senior Center offers a wide variety of leisure and educational programs, support groups, special events and trips. In addition, the Center's staff serves as a resource for the entire community - coordinating the City's transportation and social services programs. Volunteers - especially instructors - are welcome at the Senior Center.

Membership and Fees

While some of our programs are free, Senior Center membership is required to participate. Members are entitled to special benefits, including: Use of Game Room; Bi-monthly mailings of the Center's event calendar; Pre-registration opportunities for classes, trips and other programs; Reduced fees for select programs, classes and trips. Best of all, membership is affordable: just $15 per year for Sunrise residents* and $25 per year for non-residents.

Mon - Thurs: 8:30 am - 9:00 pm, Fri: 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, Sat: 9:00 am - 1:00 pm
