About Pickens County Senior Life Services Center

We provide a wide variety of activities geared to the interests of our active and productive seniors. Each month we have health information classes, exercise sessions, games, music, movies, bingo, parties and much more. We also provide services for those much less active seniors who are confined on a limited or permanent basis to their homes. “Meals on Wheels” provides assistance for persons 60 and over who are home-bound and cannot come to the Senior Center. Research indicates that these services help to keep our seniors independent and living in their own homes for a longer period of time and helps prevent premature placement into nursing homes. In addition to our Meals on Wheels program, the Senior Center provides a hot Congregate Meal each day at the center, Monday through Friday, and there are no income qualifications for these services. We also have transportation service available to all seniors who may want to attend the center for congregate meals. Volunteers are always welcome, and we are especially grateful to those who help deliver Meals on Wheels.
