Parker Community Senior Center

Overview

The Parker Community Senior Center exists to coordinate existing senior nutrition activities and stimulate new programs of companionship and recreation for Older American's in La Paz County and to encourage Older American's to use their abilities and talents for full, rewarding, independent active lives. We fulfill this mission by working in cooperation with the staff of the Parker Community Senior Center (PCSC) whom coordinates the existing activities and all of its nutrition, education, social activities and outreach programs. PCSC has operated in our communities of rural, western Arizona for over 28 years, and offers all of the following unduplicated programs that promote the independence and well-being of Older Americans in south-western Arizona: Congregate Meals (we serve over 16000 hot, nutritious annually). Home Delivered Meals (we cover a 4800 square mile service area, providing over 25,000 meals annually to home bound seniors of La Paz County). Health and Nutrition Education, Exercise Classes, Social Events, Activities/Games, Arts/Crafts, and help with transportation, other necessities and home repairs. We are funded by Western Arizona Council of Governments Area Agency on Aging, Department of Economic Securities Aging & Adult Administration, The Town of Parker and Donations.
