About Oasis Of Hope Senior Center
In North Memphis, the percentage of the population age 60 and older is rising at a much faster rate than all other age groups. The percentage of senior citizens living in the neighborhood has increased by 30% in the past 15 years. In partnership with the City of Memphis and MIFA, Oasis of Hope runs a daily program in which senior citizens in our neighborhood are thriving with daily activities, programs and social services! Fifty or more men and women ages 60 and older gather at the Bickford Community Center on Monday through Friday from 8:30am to 1:00pm for a hot meal and Bible studies, crafts, social services, field trips, parties, health education and much more.
