About North Platte Senior Center

The North Platte Senior Services Center officially opened its doors for service to the community in December of 1979. The Center’s mission at that time was to provide a gathering place for North Platte’s senior citizens. Since that time, the scope of the Center’s mission has increased to include quality of life activities, such as, seminars on health issues, financial and legal help topics, bingo, dancing, table pool, card clubs and blood pressure screenings. The North Platte Senior Center provides: freedom, dignity, independence for older population of North Platte and Lincoln County. The Senior Center is the community focal point where older adults come together for services and activities that reflect their experience and skills; respond to their diverse needs and interests: enhance their dignity: support their independence and encourage their involvement in and with the center and community.
