About Monroeville Senior Citizen Center

Through funding from the Alabama Emergency Management Agency, the City constructed the storm shelter in 2008. The facility also serves as a Senior Citizen Center. The City provides the Meals for the Elderly program at the Center and offers a weekly exercise program and daily recreational activities for seniors, as well as providing meals. The Senior Center is open Monday - Friday from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m. Anyone over the age of 60 or the spouse of anyone over 60 can apply to participate in the Meals for the Elderly program. Applications are available at the Center or by calling the Area Agency on Aging at 888-617-0500.
