Overview
The Minden Senior Center provides noon-time congregate meals five days per week Monday – Friday from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Suggested donation rate of $5.00 for persons 60 and over. Persons under the age of 60 are welcome to attend at a set price of $6.25 Guests are asked to call for lunch reservation 24 hours in advance. The Center provides educational programs plus hearing and foot care sessions, and blood pressure clinics. Entertainment includes: TV, travelogues, music events, cards, pool, quilting, puzzles, special events. Minden Senior Center is sponsored in part by South Central Nebraska Area Agency on Aging, Kearney County Supervisors, the Kearney Area United Way, matching funds from meal contributions, special fundraising events, along with personal donations, special gifts and memorials.
