Mechanicsburg Place

Overview

Mechanicsburg Place is a friendly community gathering place in downtown Mechanicsburg. Connect with others over coffee or lunch, volunteer, enjoy wellness programs, go on cultural excursions, learn how to line dance, play cards, join a book club, sing in the chorus, join a pool league, and much more! Mechanicsburg Place is a program of Messiah Lifeways and is supported, in part, by the Cumberland County Office of Aging and Community Services, the Pennsylvania Department of Aging, and the US Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Aging.

Eligibility

50+ years

Membership and Fees

Anyone 50 or better can become a member of Mechanicsburg Place. Those ages 50-59 must pay the $25/year membership fee and the $5 per lunch fee. Annual membership fees for anyone 60+ are voluntary along with a suggested donation of a $2 per lunch fee. Although the annual membership fee is strictly voluntary for participants 60 and better, it provides vital support for the ongoing operation of Mechanicsburg Place.
