The Mansfield Council on Aging is a multi-facetted human services department which services the needs of all elders, age 60 and over. We also assist families of elders in matters regarding any elder issue. Our role at the Council on Aging is to provide quality services and programs to enhance elders mental, physical and emotional well-being. A major priority is to assist and support frail elders in their home to help them remain independent as long as possible. The Council on Aging works with municipal, state and non-profit organizations that work to service elders in a variety of ways. Community based services available include transportation, site and home-delivered meals, outreach services, health and wellness programs, education/art and social events, volunteer programs, legislative up-dates, employment opportunities through the Tax Work off Program. Additional resources may be available through other programs offered outside the Council on Aging. The Council on Aging is overseen by a seven member Board of Directors, Town Manager, and Selectmen who work together to assure that seniors have services that will enhance their independence and community awareness.
