Mahanoy City Senior Community Center

Overview

Located at the corner of West Centre and North Linden streets, the Mahanoy City Senior Community Center features cathedral ceilings, tall windows and lots of sunshine! Serving Mahanoy City and the surrounding area, our center offers something for everyone including new "state-of-the-art" computers. Whether you join us for lunch, a friendly game of cards or our Friday afternoon knitting group, the center offers fun for everyone. If you are looking for a new way to become involved in the community, the center is a great place to start. We partner with several community organizations each year for special service projects to improve local neighborhoods and make a difference in people’s lives. Open daily from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., the center offers a nutritionally complete daily meal in addition to wellness checks, educational programs, STS applications, and much more! Volunteer opportunities also abound at the center, whether you enjoy one-on-one contact delivering Meals on Wheels or helping out with center activities and daily events.
