The mission at the Lopez Island Senior Center is to assist seniors in remaining independent with the goal of post phoning or eliminating the need for residential or institutional care. Supportive services are offered to family members and those caring for the elderly. Some of these services are: senior Information Assistance, Congregate Meals, Meals on Wheels, Respite Care, Case Management, Family Caregiver Support and Transportation Assistance. Lopez Island Senior Center provides programs and resources for those over the age of 60. LISC serves hot lunches on Wednesday and Fridays, included is a delivery service for those seniors who are home-bound ( Meals on Wheels). Staff ask for a modest donation to cover costs. The Lopez Senior Center provides the opportunity for seniors to remain active in the community.
