The Senior Center was built in 1949 to serve as a 70,000 sqft GTE Building. By 1978 the City had purchased the building and dedicated its purpose to support the Long Beah community Senior population. Many social service agencies recreational programs and nutritional services have collaborated over the years to provide much need services to the senior of Long Beach.
