Esmont Community Senior Center

Overview

The Esmont Community Senior Center (located in the Yancey School Community Center) offers community resource information for you and your loved ones and fun filled days. You will also find educational resources and activities for all, encouraging a healthy lifestyle through exercise and other types of physical activities. For your convenience, members of JABA's Community Senior Centers receive free health screenings by JABA Health Services ensuring that our nurse is aware of medical conditions that may arise. The Esmont Community Senior Center program owns the title of being JABA’s very first center, with an historical program that offers modern activities, community involvement opportunities, and rich partnerships with local schools. The Esmont Community Senior Center welcomes all. Come and join us for a nutritious and delicious lunch, engaging activities, scenic outings with transportation provided, or time with friends. You are always welcome.

Membership and Fees

There is no cost to join as a member and attend. However each day members are asked to contribute a donation toward lunch. The suggested donation is $3.00 per day. There may also be optional field trips or special activities that have a fee.
