About Ironton Senior Center

CAO Senior Services provides services to homebound elderly clients in addition to center-based services in Chesapeake and Ironton. The department provides a coordinated effort to meet the physical and emotional needs of older area residents through various funding mobilized by CAO. Referral services to additional resources, which may assist in meeting other needs, also play a valuable role in the Senior Services Department. Personal care services in the home are also available through the Senior Services Department. Information for in-home personal care may be obtained by calling 740-533-1863. Participants in the Passport Program may request CAO Senior Services as their provider for transportation and personal care. Seniors who would like to participate in services outside their home are extended an invitation to both Senior Centers. The centers are handicapped-accessible and provide daily meals and activities. Donations are requested for meals in order to support the operating budget for meal preparation.
