Find your zen with yoga. Kick up your heels with line dancing. Stitch up the pieces with quilting. Yell “Bingo!” Learn how to manage your diabetes. Check your hearing. Whether you seek fun things to do or simply want wellness information, ElderServe’s Senior Center has you covered. The center, located at 631 S. 28th St., offers a variety of options, along with access to a care manager who can help you access community resources. It also offers educational sessions on diabetes, cholesterol and medication management. Wellness checks include blood pressure and podiatry, as well as vision and hearing screenings. As a Metro Nutrition site, our senior center serves a hot lunch at 11 a.m. on weekdays. More than anything, you’ll find friends who will warm your heart and lighten your mood - and that does a body good.
