About Cris Healthy Aging Center
The CRIS Healthy-Aging Center, with roots that extend back over 45 years, is a private, not-for-profit, tax-exempt organization governed by a community board of directors. Main funding sources are the East Central Illinois Area Agency on Aging, United Way of Danville, and private contributions. In 1971, through the direction of the United Way, the various services for senior citizens in Danville, IL, were consolidated under the CRIS Healthy-Aging Center leadership and board. Since that time, the organization has provided excellent comprehensive assistance, care, and outreach. The CRIS Healthy-Aging Center’s mission is to provide services and activities to persons age 60 and over that assist the individual to remain healthy and active, thus avoiding early or unnecessary long-term placement and maintaining their quality of life well into the advanced years.
