About Centre Region Active Adult Center

We have a very active Center with over 500 participants throughout the year and we hope to see you there soon! The Centre Region Active Adult Center is located in the Nittany Mall, just outside of Sears, and is open to adults, ages 55 and over, and offers a wide variety of classes, activities, screenings, and events that suit almost any lifestyle. Whether you prefer a morning of line dancing followed by a walk to a local restaurant for lunch or enjoying a meal at the Center, or a game of Bridge and a cup of coffee, or assistance with IRS tax forms, the Center is sure to have something for you to enjoy! The Centre Region Active Adult Center is operated by the Centre Region Parks and Recreation Authority, and supported financially through the Centre Region Council of Governments and the Centre County Office of Aging. Through the Center's relationship with the County, the Center is supported programatically and financially, and the Center also must maintain certain standards and protocols for its services to the participants. The Office of Aging also provides additional resources, coordinates the county-wide meal and transportation programs, and assists in a myriad of other ways.
