Symphony Of Decatur

My father spent time at this facility back in 2015. I was very unhappy with the care that he received here. I felt like he was just another number on the page. This place along with Decatur Memorial Hospital did my father no favors what so ever. It seemed like whenever something was wrong, they would ship him off to the ER and there he would sit, alone for hours. My mother and I were not always able to be there with him since we were in Springfield. One of the last visits that he had to the ER, he was complaining of an infection and not feeling well, they sent him back and said that there was nothing wrong with him. Wouldn't you know a week later he was back in the hospital, this time in ICU with sepsis and on his death bed. He ultimately passed because of this. It is my opinion and one that I will stand by it, is that this company is simply in this business to make a profit. They don't care about their patients and want to simply hand them off to someone else when things go south. Do not, I repeat do not send a loved one to this place if you want them to make it out of there alive.
