The East Bay Korean-American Senior Services Center is committed to serving the Korean and Korean-American elderly population of the East Bay. To this end, the Center provides access to community resources and public assistance programs and facilitating Korean language communication is a particular focus. The community at large will benefit from the continued involvement of our physically and mentally strong elders.

Korean Hot Lunch; Health information and screening, nutritious hot lunches, and physical fitness classes; Public safety information; Accompanying seniors to the doctor's office and translating their symptoms; Coordinating with other health organizations for administering influenza shots; Forms and document assistance for Medicare, Medi-Cal, SSI, CAPI, Food Stamps, and other public assistance; Immigration information and referrals to other agencies; Translation services for documents, correspondence, and forms; Coordinating with various government agencies and other social services organizations; Assistance with filling out U.S. citizenship applications, voter registration, and related documents; Filling out applications for Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) and telephone rate discount program; Applying for In-Home Supportive Services Worker's Job and matching workers with consumers; Applying for Home Owner's and Rental Assistance; Volunteer home visitors program; Providing public transportation information and selling senior discount tickets; Providing transportation services for senior housing residents; English as a Second Language (ESL) classes taught at 3 levels by certified instructors and Conversational English classes; Dance, chorus, and music classes ; Lectures and programs on various topics, such as health, cultural barriers, U.S. history, current events, elder abuse, scam prevention, etc.; Field trips, picnics, ethnic holiday celebrations; A senior choir, which participates in various local events; Citizenship class; Drumming class & karaoke
