This 30,000 square foot facility, located in Council District 6, provides a wide array of programs and services geared towards supporting seniors 60 and over to remain healthy, engaged, and independent. Also known as the home of the self-professed chair volleyball champs, this fast pace, high energy center environment is complemented by its robust programming. Programs and services include a daily lunch time meal, health screenings, fitness classes, certified fitness advisor, social services, caregiver support services, evidenced-base education programs and transportation services to and from the center for eligible seniors living within a 5- mile radius of the center. The center is equipped with two full size exercise studios, large gym equipment area, ping pong tables, inviting social areas, billiards tables, computer café, demonstration kitchen and multi-purpose rooms. Additionally, if you are in the mood to slow things down, you can enjoy a movie and popcorn on Tuesdays and Fridays, or sign up to partake in professionally led art classes.
