The center is located at 1039 Third Avenue in New Kensington, PA in the former United Steel Workers building. We enjoy a large and well furnished building that is easy to get to just outside of downtown New Kensington, PA. It is staffed with professionally trained personnel and volunteers who plan and assist with our variety of programs and activities. We operate outreach sites in 11 different communities and we operate two satellite centers in East Vandergrift (former East Vandergrift Senior Center) and Avonmore (former Avonmore Senior Center). The center is funded in part by the Westmoreland County Area Agency on Aging, Westmoreland County Board of Commissioners, Pennsylvania Department of Aging, the U.S. Administration of Aging, local city governments, center membership, and volunteer fundraising projects.
