The building was donated in memory of Amelia McCalla’s Mother, Martha G. Lewis. Thus, the first Senior Citizen Center began. In 1980, the old Clinic on East Hall and Fajardo St, next to the library, was offered to the Hatch Senior Citizen’s for their use. The building required an enormous renovation. Through money received by grants, funds from the Village of Hatch and various donations the building was remodeled. In 1983 the building was completed and ready for use. There are various activities going on at the Senior Center. The Hatch Coffee Club meets Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Every 3rd Friday of the month, there is a Hatch Senior Citizen’s Luncheon at 12:00 pm. The VFW meets the first Tuesday of the month at 6:00 pm. During the week many of our local seniors meet to play cards and dominoes. Website: Membership Information: Services: Activities; Events Age Requirements: Operation Time:
