The center is dedicated to keeping and enhancing the quality of life for our neighborhood families through stewardship of resources and shared responsibility. The Jesse Cosby Neighborhood Center has been a multicultural, multigenerational service provider for individuals and families throughout Black Hawk County for 50 years. We offer a variety of senior services and activities including an adult day center; Meals on Wheels; youth summer feeding program; and Y.E.S., our youth empowerment services, which provides educational support and summer employment for youth age 13 to 15. By providing connections to financial assistance programs and services, the center also provides services for the disabled, sick and shut-in, those who are homeless, and low-income households in crisis.
