Our community center offers a life of dignity, empowerment and purpose for seniors. It is a unique feature of St. Mary’s, a place where homeless and low-income seniors are welcomed. We serve coffee and conversation each morning, a hot meal at noon, provide interesting classes and programs, and create a place where friendships are forged among elders who may otherwise be isolated. During the week, our food program gives out bags of groceries to seniors and needy families. At the holidays, we distribute baskets of toys and gift certificates to purchase a holiday meal to more than 400 neighborhood families.
