Operations are handled by a dedicated cadre of volunteers who manage the regular calendar of meetings and activities. Many volunteers also serve on the organization’s Board of Directors. The members often provide suggestions for enrichment programs as well as for periodic field trips. In addition, most seniors contribute financially, paying $6 for lunches and $4 for transportation for regular gatherings and applicable fees for field trips. However, financial arrangements are tailored to each member’s financial situation, and no one is turned away. Funded wholly by donations, the Center is a Section 501(c)3 organization. It receives no government funds and is fully supported through tax deductible contributions from local businesses and generous citizens.
