Yes, go ahead and embrace your age! SCHI is proud to serve as THE place in our community where you can participate in a broad range of health & wellness activities, health awareness and educational seminars and events, educational classes, social gatherings, fun activities (such as clogging, ballroom and line dance instruction), as well as Wii bowling, puzzles and card games, sharing a meal and making new friends. Thanks to funding by grants (The City of Hendersonville, Sumner County, United Way of Sumner County, as well as State and Federal funding), generous contributions from corporations and individuals and our cheerful volunteers, SCHI is able to provide the facility, equipment, and programming necessary to enhance the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the Seniors in our community. SCHI offers numerous social and physical activities and programs for members. At SCHI, our motto is “strengthening mind, body and spirit.” Website: Membership Information: Participation fees for SCHI are $2.00 per week. An additional minimal fee applies to a few of our fitness classes with the fees going directly to the instructors. It is important to note that should you be unable to afford the weekly fee, it will be waived.
