Acting as a stable force in Wichita's Hispanic community, La Familia Senior/Community Center (LFSCC) is in constant use by other community organizations for meetings, special activities and programs. The center is ideally situated next to Woodland Park. It is a lovely meeting place for families to gather for weddings, baptisms, birthday parties, baby showers, and dances. The primary areas which LFSCC serves are North Broadway Street to Amidon Street and 13th Street to 29th Street North. These are the transportation boundaries to and from LFSCC. This area has been consistently low income with a high percentage of female head of households and a large number of residents who have not completed basic education.
