Founders Hall was conceived and built by Founders Hall Foundation, Inc., a not-for-profit organization started by the families of Elaine and John Couri and Liz and Steven Goldstone. Their objective was to set a new standard for senior recreation and education by combining a state-of-the-art facility with a caring staff and an exciting curriculum of classes and activities. In 2002, the Town of Ridgefield agreed to lease the land and the Foundation agreed to run Founders Hall for ten years. In 2007, the town and the Foundation extended their arrangement through 2022, with the option for future extensions. With continued financial support from generous people like you, the Foundation will run Founders Hall for generations to come.
