The Task Force was created in February of 2016 by local senior community members who were passionate about starting a senior center to serve the Waconia Area. In the summer of 2016, Freshwater Church - Waconia Campus partnered with the Waconia Senior Center Task Force and graciously offered the use of their facility one day a week to start a senior center. The Waconia Area Senior Center officially opened it's doors for the first time on Thursday, September 29, 2016. We would like to thank Freshwater Church for their generosity.
