The Oasis was founded in 1984 by a group of seniors in the community. It has continued to develop over the years with a current membership count of over 1,000. The average age of members is 72 years, but there is no age requirement to join. Our Mission: To provide a place where senior citizens as individuals or in groups come together for services and activities which enhance their dignity, support independence and encourage their involvement in and with the community.

Activities: The Oasis Book Club, The Oasis Red Hat Club, The Oasis Potluck, Travel Excursions, Day Trips, Monthly Birthday Parties, Logan Lanes Senior Bowling; Crafts: Craft Group, Needle Craft Club, Quilting; Cards and Table Games: Pinochle, Spades, Euchre and Bridge, Hand & Foot, Bunco, Scrabble, Bingo Tuesday Nights, Traveling Bingo Atlanta; Support Services: Benefit Access Program, Senior Health Insurance Program (S.H.I.P.), Extra Help Program, Medicare Part D, Veterans Administration, Land of Lincoln Legal Assistance Foundation, Inc.
