The Castro Senior Center is located in Ellard Hall at Most Holy Redeemer Church in the heart of the Castro district of San Francisco. Since 1980 the Castro Senior Center (formerly Diamond Senior Center) has been part of the neighborhood serving local residents as well as members of the larger San Francisco community. As part of Golden Gate Senior Services the Castro Senior Center is funded through the San Francisco Department of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS). Our services and programs are available to all individuals age 60 and above and persons with disabilities. Though our collaborations with other community leaders in aging such as The University of San Francisco, City College of San Francisco, On Lok, Openhouse, New Leaf and others we are able provide a wide range of daily activities that promote healthy living, and socialization. We offer a wide range of activities and services that promote independence, health and over all well being.
