Our unique community center is proud to offer a variety of services and activities for our clientele. We strive to provide quality social and educational programming as well as heath and nutritional services designed for the aging adult. Our nine-member Board of Directors is elected by the membership to serve three-year terms. The selection of programs and services we offer attract clientele from all over the greater Bozeman area. Some of these include: meals served daily in a dining space that accommodate 300 people, Meals-on-Wheels, a wood shop, a thrift store run by volunteers, a rec room complete with two pool tables and a computer learning center with tutoring available. A child learning center is located on site that provides a unique opportunity for seniors and kids to share a space. The range of ongoing activities stretches from fitness and fun to educational and healthy living. There are more than 20 exercise classes plus dance and music lessons, card and board games, a weekly pool shoot-around. In the summer months, our hiking program is popular. The woodcarving group meets every Monday and painting classes (watercolor and oil) meet twice a week. We are also proud to offer aging-related support groups for both seniors and caregivers. Ongoing services include blood pressure checks, flu shots, free medical equipment rental, blood profiles, and educational seminars. Special events include Hawaiian Luaus, new member coffees, ice cream socials, and square dances. All we do is made possible, in large part, to more than 300 wonderful volunteers. Key fundraising sources that we rely on are the annual Fall Festival, and revenue from our thrift store. The staff here is small -- a dedicated, friendly, hard working group who are here to meet your needs and answer your questions. Come see what we're all about! Our building was built in 1979 through a city bond issue. Since that time, it's been enlarged and remodeled several times to accommodate the growing needs of seniors in our community. Our funding comes, in part, through the city and county. The greatest source for the center is raised through fundraising projects, applying grants, donations memorials, charitable gifts, and the endowment fund, which was established in 1998.
